wireframe magazine design and print Print

Wireframe is a 68 page fortnightly magazine that lifts the lid on video games. Every issue looks at how games are made, who makes them, and even guides you through the process of making your own.

Launched in late 2018, our brief was to create a fun but grown up style gaming magazine for the more technically minded gamer.

As a fortnightly title, we manage the design and creative direction of Wireframe magazine as an ongoing project, taking care to ensure the magazine continues to offer its readers clear, well designed pages appropriate to the subject and magazine style.

Featuring three different paper types for the cover, the text pages & a special 16 page uncoated ‘toolbox’ section in the middle, Wireframe proudly looks and feels different!

Design & Print of a fortnightly title In order to ensure each magazine meets it’s onsale date looking as awesome as possible, we carry out the following:

  • Carry out all page design from templated sections through to the more free-style features
  • Work closely with editorial and proofing to manage amends & version control, through to page approval
  • Create print ready pdfs of final approved pages – run all pre-flight checks and final design tweaks
  • Oversee print operation from: deadlines, print order to final magazine dispatch
  • Manage & advise on any special print processes, additional print treatments, cover mounts or delivery requirements
  • Create fully linked digital magazine and upload to App stores
  • Produce all marketing content for both on and offline
